These Terms of Service ("Terms") are an agreement between you and Wunderbud Studio LLC ("Little Roots," "we," "us," or "our") governing your use of the Little Roots allowance app and this website (the "Service"). By creating an account or using the Service, you agree to these Terms.
1. Eligibility
You must be at least 18 years old and the parent or legal guardian of any child you add to the Service. You are responsible for supervising your child's use of Little Roots and for all activity under your account.
2. What Little Roots is
Little Roots is an educational tool that helps families teach children to save money. Parents set an allowance and an interest rate, create savings goals, and record deposits and withdrawals so children can build good financial habits.
3. Not real money or a financial product
Little Roots is a teaching tool, not a financial service. Balances, allowances, interest, and transactions shown in the app are educational representations managed by you within the app. Little Roots is not a bank, money transmitter, custodian, investment service, or financial product; it does not hold, transfer, or pay real funds, and the "interest" is an illustrative learning feature, not a real rate of return. Any actual money you give your child happens outside the app, at your discretion.
4. Your account and security
You are responsible for keeping your login credentials and parent PIN confidential and for all activity under your account. Notify us promptly if you believe your account has been compromised. We provide a password-reset process by email; keep your email address current so you can recover access.
5. Purchases and the Family Pack
Little Roots is free to use for one child. The optional "Family Pack" is a one-time purchase that unlocks additional features. Purchases are processed by the Apple App Store or Google Play under their terms, and your payment information is handled by those stores, not by us. Refunds and restore-purchase requests are handled according to the policies of the applicable store. Prices and the features included may change for future purchases.
6. Acceptable use
You agree not to misuse the Service — including by attempting to access it without authorization, interfering with its operation, reverse-engineering it, or using it for any unlawful purpose. We may suspend or terminate accounts that violate these Terms.
7. Intellectual property
The Service, including its software, design, content, and the Pom mascot, is owned by Wonderbud Studio LLC and protected by applicable laws. We grant you a limited, non-exclusive, non-transferable license to use the Service for your family's personal, non-commercial use.
8. Disclaimers
The Service is provided "as is" and "as available," without warranties of any kind, whether express or implied, including fitness for a particular purpose and non-infringement. We do not warrant that the Service will be uninterrupted, error-free, or that data will always be available, though we maintain backups and work to keep it reliable.
9. Limitation of liability
To the maximum extent permitted by law, Wonderbud Studio LLC will not be liable for any indirect, incidental, special, consequential, or punitive damages, or for any loss of data, arising out of or related to your use of the Service. Our total liability for any claim relating to the Service will not exceed the amount you paid us, if any, in the twelve months before the claim.
10. Changes to the Service and these Terms
We may modify or discontinue features, and we may update these Terms from time to time. If we make material changes, we will update the effective date above and, where appropriate, notify you. Continued use of the Service after changes take effect means you accept the updated Terms.
11. Governing law
These Terms are governed by the laws of Massachusetts, without regard to its conflict-of-laws rules. Any disputes will be resolved in the courts located in Massachusetts.
